Abstract

Technological advances in recent years have transformed customer and supplier collaborative design systems into a major trend. Seems implied already studies have shown that product data can be effectively exchanged and shared through the use of collaborative design to enhance enterprise competitiveness. The main focus of this study is the collaborative design of information systems, which can effectively integrate supplier and customer resources. Besides, the collaborative design process for information systems differs among industries. This study thus focuses on using analytical network process (ANP) decision-support tools to analyze benefits, opportunities, costs and risks (BOCR), and then uses sensitivity analysis weight, collaborative design information systems employed by the control information system (CIS) of the Taiwan freeway bureau to analyze case studies. Finally, the proposed model can provide decision makers with a more balanced, realistic and accurate description of the risks and challenges involved in controlling collaborative design information systems.
