Abstract

Methods of estimating the life of structural elements in cyclical and quasi-random loading are considered. The sum of the relative numbers of cycles to failure is found to be more stable when using failure characteristics for structural elements in narrow-band quasi-random loading than when using characteristics for cyclic loading.
