Abstract

Experimental studies of pressure fluctuation transducers with various types of protective grids against aerodynamic interactions are reported. The transient characteristics of the protective grids are estimated. The resolution of the different protective grids is studied and compared with calculated estimates. It is found that resonance phenomena can develop in the air cavity of the sensor with different types of grids.
