Abstract

This study explores the multifaceted realm of human health risk assessment, emphasizing the pivotal role of integrated frameworks and multidisciplinary approaches. As environmental challenges and their associated health risks become increasingly complex, traditional, single-discipline methods are often inadequate. A holistic perspective that integrates knowledge and methodologies from various disciplines is essential for comprehensive human health risk assessment. It serves as the initial phase in multicomponent health promotion initiatives. The Human Health Risk Assessment (HHRA) encompasses five crucial components: hazard identification, risk assessment, risk control, documentation of findings, and control review. Ultimately, scientific risk assessment provides valuable insights to guide decisionmaking related to risk. Establishing comprehensive and robust principles is essential to underpin the risk management framework. These guiding principles provide an ethical foundation for evaluating various factors relevant to risk management decisions. Nevertheless, their practical application requires both flexibility and practical judgment. The study is based on a thorough review of existing global literature.
