Abstract

The article developed new fatigue models based on unloading energy for molybdenum alloys. According to the relationship between unloading energy, strain amplitude and number of cycles in fatigue experiment of molybdenum alloys,a low cycle fatigue model is established, which has a simpler structure and certain universality, and a unified fatigue model based on unloading elastic strain energy density is established. The new unified fatigue model can predict fatigue life, and shows that the fatigue strength coefficient (σf,) is related to fatigue energy coefficient (Wa), which provides a new idea for exploring the physical meaning of Basquin-Manson-Coffin model.
