Abstract
Background: Myositis associated (MAA), and myositis specific antibodies (MSA) are important for supporting the diagnosis of idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM). Given the rarity of these autoantibodies, assay performance cannot easily be evaluated. The aim of this study was to retrospectively review the performance and determine a local reference range for the detection of myositis autoantibodies measured on the Euroimmun line immunoblot assay (LIA).
