Abstract
In the process of solidification, the metal properties such as thermal conductivity, density will have great changes, the time step will be changed at any time if we use explicit difference scheme. In order to simplify the calculation, we usually calculate with the metal properties held constant, and this makes the calculation results in large errors. In this paper, we will use Douglas ADI (alternating direction implicit) to calculate the temperature distribution of LPDC wheel hub. This method with unconditional stability can deal with the changes of the metal properties. In addition, it will reduce the computing time. At last, we will give the comparison between the simulation results and the experimental results.
