Abstract

This paper applies the Evidential Synthetic Evaluation (ESE) Model to solve the evaluation problem of enterprise's technological innovation ability. First, an index system to measure the enterprise's technological innovation ability has been built. The index weighting has been determined using analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method. And then ESE model has been discussed and introduced in the paper. For the examined five medium-small enterprises, the evaluation scores are given and then using the ESE model to get the comprehensive score for each enterprise. Based on the comprehensive scores calculated, a sort of five enterprises has been made. The method used in this paper can be applied to the evaluation of technological innovation ability for any enterprises. Through construction of proper index system, the methodology can be extended to other synthetic evaluation problem, for example, the evaluation of city's technological innovation ability.
