Abstract

<p>Agave (<em>Agave tequilana </em>Weber var. azul), it is commonly known as “Agave Azul Tequilero”. The Agave crop is an economically important of Mexico because employers in field and industry, in addition it is the ingredient for tequila, a distilled spirit drink. The objective of this research was to evaluate two auxins with three concentrations to embryogenic callus induction and somatic embryos obtention from vitroplantlets of <em>A. tequilana.</em> Treatments were two auxins ANA & 2,4-D in three concentrations: 2, 3 & 4 mg L<sup>-1</sup> in Murashige and Skoog media. Embryogenic callus induction, globular, maturation embryos and plant conversion were evaluated. Statistics differences were present in embryogenic callus induction and development globular embryos between auxins and concentrations. The mostly callus induction, globular and development embryos was present in 3 mg L<sup>-1</sup> concentration in both auxins. Maturation and plant conversion did no show statistic difference. An external auxins is required for the induction of embryogenic callus, and the behavior is related with concentration. Regression confirms positive behavior between embryogenic callus induction, globular embryos and maturation.</p>
