Abstract
This short communication found thermal-deformation is effective in facilitating the dissolve of TiC, Ti5Si3 reinforcement and the transformation of β-to-αs, refining primary α through the dislocation introduced, which results in a significant improvement of mechanical properties with ultimate tensile strength of ∼1300 MPa, and 9.6% elongation, representing a nearly 18% and 3.4 times increment, respectively.
