Abstract
Chinese medical ethics, which directly stems from the principles and the values of a world's vision whose medical practice is firstly the application of virtue, is still present both in medical profession and in popular common sense, from small villages to large cities of the This chapter shows that the tension between traditional Chinese medical ethics and political and economic Marxist principles is beneficial in a full economic developed society. Euthanasia, like other bioethical problems, is quite a new ethical dilemma in China. According to the ethic review of the status of euthanasia and hospice care, the author forwards the viewpoints of actively carrying on the multi-disciplinary research on euthanasia in his country, profoundly valuing and actively improving hospice care, and promoting harmony and unity between euthanasia and hospice care as an efffective move to promote the harmonious development of the aging society in our country.
