Abstract

Abstract Results of dielectric studies of liquid-solid phase transitions induced by hydrostatic pressure in solutions of polar liquids in a nonpolar solvent are presented. The isothermal (p, ∊, f) T diagrams were obtained for nitrobenzene and o-nitroanisole solutions in benzene. The dielectric permittivity of the solutions at the phase transition is found to be linearly dependent on the molar fraction f, but the (p,f) T diagram in the phase transition region is found to exhibit eutectic type behaviour.
