Abstract

The eutactic stars to be considered arise naturally from the spectral decomposition of an adjacency matrix of a graph. The role of these stars is discussed in relation to (i) local modifications of graphs, (ii) the construction of star partitions of a graph. Some exploratory results relate these star partitions to the structure of the underlying graph.AMS(MSO) subject classification05C50
