Abstract
Abstract The number of water molecules (NH2O) in the inner-sphere of Eu(III) complexed with poly(methacrylic acid) and poly(acrylic acid) was reported at various temperatures and α (degree of ionization) of these polyelectrolytes using laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy. It is suggested that the conformational transition of poly(methacrylic acid) is reflected in the α dependence of NH2O.
