Abstract

Gaining insights into the current state of RD&I in waterborne transport is crucial for research management systems or research and innovation radars. It will enable to scout opportunities for awareness-raising activities of outcomes from R&D activities and initiatives. The investigation and analysis of this information from existing sources and the later identification and selection can accelerate the RD&I needed to comply with the main challenges and objectives that the European Commission pursue until 2050. A specific review will be conducted for all these inputs and the way in which they are structured and accessible. The main outcomes from RD&I projects since 2010 to nowadays will be presented and will help to understand the main trends of the waterborne transport sector.
