Abstract

Deep inelastic structure functions are derived in the hybrid quark-hadron model with three methods for including binding. With light-front dynamics, the European Muon Collaboration effect is shown to be consistent with this model, with an internal six-quark structure region of average probability of about 20% in medium-mass nuclei, as found in exclusive electron scattering on light nuclei; while instant-form dynamics is not consistent with the model.
