Abstract

The European Commission (EC) has chosen to include GlobalSign in two new projects regarding the deployment of digital signatures and certification. Trust Requirements for Certification Service Providers (Trust-CSP) is part of the Information Society Initiative for Standardisation (ISIS) Programme organized by the European Com mission/ Directorate General III. Its aim is the development of a business model and criteria for Certification Service Providers relating to digital signatures. The project will support the European draft Directive on a common legal framework for electronic signatures and will be carried out in close collaboration with the European Electronic Signature Standardisation Initiative (EESSI) as well as with the standardization bodies CEN/ISSS.
