Abstract
Damages to pressure vessels can result in both human and material losses. In order that such conditions should be prevented in industry that uses pressure vessels and equipment, the European Commission adopted respective documents to regulate the design, production and operation of such equipment. This paper describes the processes of practical implementation of legal provisions and codes that control this area in this country. The primary goal of these documents is to improve the equipment safety, however, also to comply to the European directives, to the Directive 97/23/EC - Pressure Equipment in particular. Certain experiences in operating this equipment in the 'Beli limovi' d.o.o - Šabac are used as examples, however, they can be useful to other organizations too.

Posledica ekonomskih i političkih integracija na području EU okarakterisana je nadnacionalnim integrisanim pravnim sistemom. Države članice Unije moraju implementirati direktive novog pristupa na nacionalnom nivou bez ikakvih promena i dopuna. Usvajanjem "novog pristupa" o tehničkoj harmonizaciji čiji su principi: sadržaj direktiva novog pristupa definiše suštinske zahteve za proizvode u EU, tehničke specifikacije proizvoda koje ispunjavaju suštinske zahteve daju se u harmonizovanim standardima, proizvodi izrađeni prema harmonizovanim standardima ispunjavaju zahteve direktiva, primena harmonizovanih standarda nije obavezna. Obzirom na temu ovog rada u nastavku će se bliže objasniti grupa tehničkih direktiva koje su povezane sa opremom pod pritiskom. Autori Direktive 2006/42/CE za mašine su naznačili neophodnost promena i dopuna u sistemu harmonizovanih standarda sačinjenih prema starijoj Mašinskoj direktivi 98/37/EC. Direktiva 97/23/EC - Oprema pod pritiskom je objavljena u zvaničnom glasilu Evropske unije OJ L 181, od 09.07.1997. G. Ona se odnosi na opremu pod pritiskom kod koje je pritisak veći od 0,5 bar i definiše: [5]. Direktiva utvrđuje klasifikaciju opreme prema riziku u četiri kategorije i primenu dobre inženjerske prakse (DIP)
