Abstract

Development of technology in area of high-frequency (HF) electromagnetic (EM) fields has brought the attention about possible impact of HF EM fields on human health. The European Parliament and the Council of the European Union have adopted Directive 2013/3S/EU on the minimum health and safety requirements regarding the exposure of workers to the risks arising from physical agents (electromagnetic fields) so that preventive measures can be undertaken for human health protection. Along with this Directive a number of guides have been published. These guides closely illustrate the implementation of Directive 2013/3S/EU. The Republic of Croatia as a member state of European Union needed to bring into force regulations necessary to comply with this directive. Focus of this paper will be on the most important aspects of documents related to Directive 2013/3S/EU.
