Abstract
Aim and topics Belgrade was the convenient location for the 16th European Conference on Analytical Chemistry from 11 to 15 September 2011. The announced 136 oral and 560 poster contributions drew analytical chemists from Europe as well as from other parts of the world to Serbia’s capital and covered essentially all aspects of analytical sciences: analytical spectroscopy, chromatography, mass spectrometry, electroanalytical chemistry, sensors, hyphenated techniques, sample preparation and separation, bioanalytical chemistry, environmental analysis, food analysis, analytics in pharmacy and medicine, forensic analytical chemistry, advanced material analysis, chemometrics, metrology, quality assurance and reference materials, education, archaeometry.
