Abstract
Euplassa lanata is described as a new species from the state of Paraná, southern Brazil. It can be distinguished from other similar species by the combination of abaxial leaflet indument lanate, rufous to gray, pedicel absent, and hairs extending from the ovary base, but not completely covering it. We provide a morphological description, illustrations, photo plates, a geographic distribution map, a preliminary evaluation of its conservation status, and taxonomic notes.
