Abstract

Summary The present communication records four new species (Gregarina havanuri n. sp., G. bidari n. sp., G. opatroidea n. sp. and G. gulbargaensis n. sp.) of eugregarine parasites (Apicomplexa: Sporozoea) of the genus Gregarina Dufour from Tenebrionid insects collected at various localities of the North-East region of Karnataka, India. Observations on their morphology, life-history, incidence of infection and systematics are detailed.
