Abstract

Abstract J. Peter Euben is Research Professor Emeritus of Political Science and Kenan Distinguished Faculty Fellow in Ethics at Duke University. Euben's scholarship and teaching span ancient, modern, and contemporary political theory, literature and politics, the politics of morality, and political education. Widely credited for the renewed interest in the relevance of ancient Greek drama for contemporary democratic thought and practice, Euben situates classical political theory in conversation with some of the most pressing cultural, ethical, and political questions of the present day.
