Abstract

There are certain reasons, based on epidemiology, which suggest that a relation may exist between human leukaemia and the bovine leukoses. However, at the present, the comparison of distributions of human leukaemia and bovine leukoses fails to confirm such a relation. On the other hand, the data available on human leukaemia are rather incomplete, especially in France, and do not allow to distinguish the different types of leukaemias and hematosarcomas. In order to obtain more precise data, an investigation on the morbidity and a retrospective inquiry have been undertaken.
