Abstract
We show some gamma ray energy spectra obtained with a 120 cm 3 active volume Ge(Li) detector. Energy resolution and counting efficiency curves versus energy for total absorption peak and double-escape peak are drawn. In addition, a comparison between characteristics is made with smaller detectors and some conclusions are deduced for great detector volume uses.
