Abstract
This pilot study sought to determine the feasibility and acceptability of insertion of the etonogestrel contraceptive implant (Implanon) at the time of mifepristone use for first-trimester medical abortion. Secondary outcomes included failure rate of medical abortion with this protocol, bleeding patterns, and continuation of Implanon at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months.
