Abstract

Abstract. Disruptive technologies are taking enormous relevance in the agriculture sector. Nowadays the relation of water consumption between sectors persists, being the agriculture the most use with the 70% or plus. At the same time, many cities are been transforming to receive population and service. Cities must adapt technologies to increasing of water uses with plants in roof top, side walls, green walls, vertical farms, planta factory, etcetera. In this work, a green wall with Crassulaceae plants (Sedum spp.) was transplanted in 66 modules (60 m2) vertical wall. Even though sedum plant in cities have a little water consumption, other important advantages are the faculty to transform CO2 in malic acid and oxygen. However, is difficult to know the water consumption in urban zones and the schedule because the conditions are different related in open field. In these sense, CROPWAT software is used to calculate parameter to estimate water consumption in a vertical green wall. With the calculus of ETo using Penman-Monteith and precipitation in CROPWAT, and Crop coefficient modify was possible obtain water requirements, wich are agree with found experimental data in other research. Results could be considered to planning and mange in urban areas.
