Abstract

Objective To analyze the causes of children's emergency convulsion, and to discuss the measures of emergency treatment of convulsion in order to improve the diagnosis and treatment of children's emergency convulsion. Method 120 cases of pediatric emergency convulsion from January 2015 to May 2016 in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed, analyzed their causes and emergency response measures. Results Febrile convulsion accounted for 44.17%, epilepsy accounted for 16.67%, intracranial infection accounted for 15.83%, the above were major causes of emergency convulsion. There was only 1 case of aspiration pneumonia, caused by families’ inappropriate respiratory tract nursing, there were no aspiration or asphyxia in the rest cases. Convulsion of observed cases was controlled within 1-5 minutes, there were 2 children with status convulsion, controlled by the continuous pumping of midazolam. Followed by the treatment on the causes of the disease, there was no the recurrence of convulsion during the emergency observation period. Conclusion Rapid inference of the causes of convulsion combined with children's age, medical history, physical signs, auxiliary examination, management of respiratory tract, and rapid control of convulsion are the most critical in emergency treatment.
