Abstract
The effect of a treatment with CCC on the ethylene production and on the IAA-distribution has been investigated in the apical and basal parts of the hypocotyls of bean seedlings. Under the effect of this treatment the ethylene production of the apical hypocotyl parts decreases whereas that of the basal parts increases. The treatment is changing also the IAA-distribution in the hypocotyl, related to the controls. The greater part of the IAA-content is accumulated in the basal part of the treated plants.
