Abstract

As part of the medicinal plants value, an ethnobotanical study was conducted among 600 of EKNP herbalists in the forest area of El Tarf department (Algeria), which frequently use plants in traditional medicine.The survey was conducted during the period of 2011–2014 and permitted to identify 40 plants used in the treatment of various diseases by the local population of EKNP, which were mainly collected in spring.Our study showed that the leaves are the most part used of the plant, where the majority of therapeutic recipes were prepared in the infusion form.
