Abstract

Ascending aortic aneurysms carry a high morbidity and mortality risk; surgical treatment is often indicated. There is no published work investigating the relationship between ethnicity and the incidence of and outcomes from ascending aortic aneurysm surgery in the Aotearoa New Zealand population. This study aimed to review the ethnicity trends for New Zealand patients undergoing elective ascending aortic aneurysm surgery.
