Abstract

There is a difference between intelligent technology and using technology intelligently. As human beings, we have the capacity and (some would argue) the imperative toward the latter. If we take this seriously, this means that technology should contribute to a life well-lived and not decide it for us. Examines both the benefits and drawbacks of smart technologies and examines the ethical, social, and psychological implications for future generations.
