Abstract

The article presents a brief overview of historical and philosophical approaches to understanding ethics, describes the legal basis for the activities of a psychologist-consultant. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that it reveals aspects of the professional self-identification of a psychologist-consultant and notes the importance of observing the ethical standards of the professional community, social ethical standards, as well as the importance of a personal ethical position, which is necessary for the formation of the professional position of future psychologists-consultants. The ethical basis of the activity of a psychologist-consultant is considered from the standpoint of the Kantian approach, in particular from the standpoint of the relationship between ethics and deontology. The importance of establishing interaction with representatives of other helping professions (physicians, social workers, etc.) is noted, as well as the ethical aspects of integrating psychotherapeutic influences into the process of medical influence on patients are revealed. The importance of the role of the ethical component in the promotion of psychologists-consultants on the Internet and the media is emphasized. Particular attention is paid to the personal characteristics of a counseling psychologist and their influence on decision-making, as well as the importance of a classical education that meets all the requirements of the profession standard.
