Abstract
Infant mental health (IMH) practice presents unique ethical challenges. In this presentation, we consider the ethical issues inherent in clinical work by practitioners in IMH, including child and adolescent psychiatrists, and identify strengths and challenges of current approaches to addressing these ethical issues. We discuss gaps and avenues for future development of ethical guidance in IMH, including the possible role for a code of ethics.
