Abstract
A study of media practices based on the product: the game of mirrors of the Reporter Profession – To examine every nuance of the discourse and practices adopted by the news program Profissao Reporter [Reporter Profession] produced by Globo TV was a task performed by 21 journalists, professors and graduate students of the research group MidiAto – Language Study Group: Mediatic Practices, of the School of Communications and Arts (ECA/USP). The result is an extensive exhibition of the limits, contradictions and role played by the program in the schedule of Brazil’s leading TV channel, transcribed in 17 articles in the book “Profissao Reporter em Dialogo” [Dialogue of the Reporter Profession].
