Abstract

The urban transport of people requires a special approach, since it is an economic mass with 'market value' added. Transportation modes used in this mass movement directly influenced the economic location of population in urban areas, and commercial relations. The objective of this work is to add a qualitative and quantitative knowledge come from a comparative study, looking at the technical and economic sustainabilities between the main modes of urban transport. The methodology for the development of research based on a descriptive / correlation therefore investigates the relationship between the extent of events studied at each modal. It presents results in a study indicating the feasibility of deployment of multimodal urban transportation. Index Terms - Urban Transport, Economic Mass, Multimodality, Modal Transport.
