Abstract

The study of Ancient Iran is limited by two perspectives. On one side, Iranology, as an academic discipline but subject to the Vision of the Other. Persophilia, on the other, as an excessive love for the exoticism of ancient Persia civilization. The scholar of the Ancient World needs to gain an insight into the past overcoming the obstacles of a relatively young science, in particular with regard to the identitarian knowledged-concept derived from Persianism.
