Abstract

Inside the discipline of “entrepreneurship”, we intend to approach the state of the art research in the field of “failure entrepreneurship” through analysis of documents dating. Therefore, in this article, in addition to traditional qualitative methods, we use quantitative, bibliometric and social network analysis methods. With them we aim to identify the most cited studies to delineate the key authors and theories that form the intellectual framework of the field of entrepreneurship failure, so that we can describe the relationships among the documents that have a greater impact for the construction of the knowledge base, identifying critical research issues in the area. The analysis revealed the important boom that this field of “failure” is having within the discipline of “entrepreneurship” and the speed that the studies about it are increasing
