From a perceptive point of view, it is analyzed how the referees arbitrate five vs. five game situa- tions, attending to the positions in the court (trail and lead) and their responsibility areas. The study tried to improve the perfor- mance of the basketball referees in matches where two judges must to arbiter together. It also could be improve the learning processes of novice coaches. To reach this purpose, it is neces- sary to know the relevant information in five vs. five game si- tuations, in which areas the referees pay their attention for a good decision-making and the relationship with a successful performance. Finally, we will be able to know if the referees at- tend to the court areas that the FIBA manual establish as their responsibility.
