Abstract

In this paper, methodological development are attempted to survey and estimate the economic loss of industrial sect or in the disaster-affected region. In specialty, double counting problem of direct and indirect economic loss are focused on, which is pointed out but not much investigated in the previous works. As a result, it is theoretically shown that the sum of profit loss and recovery cost in each anonymous term can be the consistent measure of economic loss avoiding the double cou nting problem. The methodology is applied to the economic loss survey in the mid-niigata region, which was damaged by th e serious damage, and total economic loss in the region was estimated.
