Summary
This cross-sectional study was conducted based on a descriptive-analytical design. The economic burden of cardiovascular disease was estimated using the cost-of-illness method and based on the human capital method. Based on the content and purpose of the current study, the prevalence-based approach was used. A researchermade questionnaire was used for data collection. The statistical population included patients with cardiovascular disease who referred to the hospitals under study in Yazd. They were selected by random sampling (n=200). The data were analyzed in SPSS and EXCEL software
