Abstract

The method of polarization resistance is extensively used for the determination of the rate of corrosion. At the same time, the accuracy of measurements of the corrosion rate performed with industrial corrosion meters is often not estimated. By using an indicator, we find the accuracy of the measurements of the corrosion rate for 20 steel placed in 1N H2SO4 and 0.01N Na2SO4 solutions and for 12Kh18N10T steel placed in 1N and 10N H2SO4 solutions.
