Abstract

This paper presents the results of an analysis of the hot deformation flow behaviour of magnesium alloy AM30. The true stress–strain curve's experimental results are used to plot the hardening curve. The critical strain value and maximum softening strain value are calculated using the hardening curve. The estimation of peak stress is done by employing the constitutive Arrhenius hyperbolic equation. Material constants are determined using exponential and power equations.The estimated peak stress compared with the experimental peak stress and good agreement between both the stress value is found.
