Abstract

The intersection of a convex particle set of particle density N V and a pair of parallel test lines at a distance λ is characterised by the chord pair density function N L (λ). For a system of spheres, -a stereological equation was derived which satisfies the parameter N V -estimation by counting measurements is proposed. An example of application for a Fe 3 C dispersion in steel is given.
