Abstract
By measuring the local diffusion properties of water molecules in three dimensions, diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DW-MRI) can provide invaluable information on the white matter architecture in the brain in vivo and non-invasively. Q-ball imaging (QBI) is a widely used high angular resolution diffusion imaging (HARDI) technique for orientation density function (ODF) with Funk-Radon transform (FRT). In this paper we propose an analytical estimation method for ODF in QBI using spherical ridgelet (SR) basis with closed form expressions.
