Abstract
In this paper, two approaches for estimating the between-group and the within-group factor scores in a two-level confirmatory factor analysis model will be investigated. In each approach, the regression method and the generalized least-squares method are studied. These methods will be compared with each other theoretically and empirically with a simulation study.
