Abstract

Errors of sampling, sample preparation, and sample analysis in the monitoring scheme of the hydrochemistry shop of the Achinsk Alumina Refinery are evaluated. It is found that the sampling error dominates over the error of determination of the analytical signal. To decrease the sampling error, it is first purposeful to use the automated sampling devices, to increase the homogeneity of the raw material under investigation, and to decrease the period of sample delivery.
