Abstract

The problem of estimating the structural coefficient of a simultaneous equations econometric model is discussed. In the case of nonlinear models two methods are proposed, the Iterative Instrumental Variables Method and the Iterative Extended Kalman Filter. It is shown how these methods can be applied in the case of models linear in coefficients but nonlinear in parameters, and results from an application to a model of the Danish economy are presented.
