Abstract
We propose a color synthetic method for the estimation of an image sampled by a CCD sensor array through color filters. This method is used to suppress the color artifacts that often appear on the estimated image, especially when it has a high interband correlation. The artifacts are caused by shifting of sampling phase between primary colors. In this method, each primary color image is interpolated from the sampled data of three primary color images. The optimal interpolation function is derived by minimizing the error of estimation.
