Abstract

Afield experiment was carried out in two locations Two experiment were carried out the first the research station of the field crops department in college of Agriculture, Tikrit university and the second in the field the farmer of the AL_Manzala village to evaluate the performance of six synthesis varieties of maize namely The 1 st one was at Field crops Department, Collage of Agriculture ,University of Tikrit and the 2 nd one was applied in the provide (Baghdad3,AL-Masara,Fajr1,AL-Maha, Sara and Research 5018) and Its effect of yield traits ,Its components and oil and protein percentages .Factorial experiment was applied using the randomized complete blocks design according to the split plot system and with three replicates. The main plots was included( the levels of humic added at the locations Tikrit and Hawija) the following results were obtained:The synthetic variety Sara superior in the traits number of grains in ear, single plant yield and oil percentage and the synthetic variety Fair 1superior in grains 300 weight trait and the synthetic variety research 5018 in the protein percentage and three levels of humic in all the studied traits the Hawije location performed in number of grains per ears and single plant yield traits and Tikrit location superior in oil and protein percentages. The combination treatments between the synthetic variety Sara with the third of humic and the third level of humic at the Hawije location and the synthetic Sara with the third of level of humic at Hawije location were superior of the number of grains per ear and single plant yield traits. Broad sense heritability was highest of number of grains per ear, grains 300 weight, single plant yield and oil percentages. Expected genetic advance was highest in number of grains per ear and single plant yield traits in six environments studied.
